Wildcats Earn 5-2 Win over Shawinigan

The Moncton Wildcats finished off their Quebec road trip with a 5-2 win over the Shawinigan Cataractes tonight in a battle of division leaders.

The league's scoring leader, Conor Garland continued his impressive scoring pace with his 15th goal of the year, and added assists to goals by Will Bower, Aric Leger and Austin Kosack. Garland now has nine points in two games, after his five point game last night in Victoriaville. Manuel Wiederer added his 16th of the season into an empty net late in the third.

It was a strong performance in goal by Blade Mann-Dixon with 30 saves. Moncton improves to 18-8-3 after two consecutive road wins in Quebec. Two new defencemen made their Cats debut tonight- Ryan Mooney and Alexandre Coulombe and both were impressive. The Cats are back at home Wednesday as they host Charlottetown at 7:00 p.m. at the Coliseum.
