South Georgia Wildcats News Release
June 5, 2007, ALBANY, GA- The South Georgia Wildcats have begun preparations for the biggest game of the 2007 season as the top-ranked and unbeaten Wilkes-Barre Scranton Pioneers will visit Cooper Tire Field at the Albany Civic Center this Saturday night, June 9. The doors open at 6:00 with the kickoff scheduled for 7:30 pm.
The first 3,000 fans to come through the doors Saturday night will receive a "Wildcats Retro Visor" thanks to Verizon Wireless and Palmyra Medical Centers. Also, Wildcats' medical sponsors including Palmyra Medical Centers, Albany Orthopedic Center, and Albany Arthritis and Orthopedic Center are providing t-shirts to be distributed by the Wildcats dance team and promotional team during the game.
"With this being the biggest game in franchise history, I doubt fans need more of a reason to come out, but for those that do, here is an extra incentive," said Wildcats' General Manager Darren McPhail.
Tickets are still available by contacting the Civic Center Box Office at 229-435-0205. Groups of 10 or more can purchase $12 seats for $6 each or $10 seats for $5. Discounted seats are on a first come, first served basis.
