MONCTON N.B. - Moncton Wildcat players made their annual visit to the Moncton Hospital this afternoon to visit with the children in the Pediatric Care Unit. It is important to the players to be an active part of the community and to give back. They truly enjoy the opportunity to be able to spend time with these children and help to make their day a little extra special.

The Wildcat players brought along teddy bears that were collected during this's year's Teddy Bear Toss game that took place on January 16th vs. the Charlottetown Islanders. The team would like to thank the community for their support, with your help this year the Wildcats were able to collect 2,500 bears that are being donated to the Hospitals and other local children's groups around Greater Moncton! Along with all of the bears that were donated, our Teddy Bear Toss game sponsor Medavie Blue Cross is also proud to announce that they sold over 300 bears, resulting in $4,483 dollars raised which will be donated to the Atlantic Wellness Community Centre.

Director of Business Operations, Ryan Jenner had this to say about the visit "This event has become a real fan favorite over the years and the players really enjoy getting into the hospitals to be able to change the focus of the children we visit with some fun! We'd like to thank our fans and Medavie Blue Cross for their incredible support."

Thank you to the Moncton Hospital for allowing the players to visit this afternoon and spend some time with the children. The Wildcats will visit the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital in the coming weeks.
