Adams-Moisan suspended 3 games
January 26, 2016 - Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) News Release
Boucherville - The Director of Player Safety of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, Raymond Bolduc, suspended Morgan Adam-Moisan of the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada for 3 games. The suspension was handed out following an incident that occurred on January 23rd against the Sherbrooke Phoenix.
Here is the rationale that led to the decision: * The opponent received the puck along the boards at the height of the faceoff dot to the left of his goaltender. * The player at fault headed towards him with speed. * The opponent cut towards the center to avoid the contact. * The player at fault responded by changing the angle of his left leg. * The player at fault opened his left skate outwards to make contact. * The contact was with the knee to the top of the opponent's right tibia. * The contact was violent and dangerous. * This is not the first offense of the player at fault.
The Director of Player Safety took this decision after having viewed videos of the incident, considered the officials report, spoken to the players and organizations involved and after consulting the Advisory Committee for disciplinary action.
The video of the suspension is available on the League's site.
