BRADENTON, FL - The Bradenton Marauders, Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, used an errant throw to walk-off the Jupiter Hammerheads at McKechnie Field on Saturday.

Tied at four in the bottom of the ninth, Adalberto Santos drew a one-out walk from closer AJ Ramos. He then stole second and third. Taking the corner on the first pitch to Evan Chambers, Santos safely reached and watched catcher Gregg Glime's throw sail into leftfield. He trotted home for the winning run, 5-4.

Bradenton had to battle from behind twice in the game. Trailing 3-0 after the first inning, the Marauders loaded the bases in the second with one out but came up empty handed. They threatened again in the fourth inning and followed through. Carlos Paulino led off with a triple ahead of an RBI double down the leftfield line by Cole White. Bengie Gonzalez reached on an error two batters later and scored, with White, on a Robbie Grossman double. The game was knotted at three.

After getting hit for three runs in the first, Marauders starter Brett Sinkbeil settled in. The righty allowed just two more hits, singles, the rest of the way. He finished with a quality start, allowing three runs in six innings. He didn't walk a batter.

Jupiter did regain the lead briefly in the seventh, successfully executing a suicide squeeze by Danny Pertusati. Santos hit his second homerun in three nights, however, to retie the game in the bottom of the inning.

The win went to Tyler Cox out of the bullpen, the loss to Ramos. Bradenton has equaled a franchise best seven game winning streak.

The Marauders welcome the Hammerheads again Sunday at 5pm at McKechnie Field. Radio coverage begins on the Sports Fanatic, 1280-AM WTMY at 4:45. For ticketing information visit BradentonMarauders.com.
