Washington, PA - The Washington Wild Things (33-37), presented by Washington Federal Savings Bank, lost 8-3 to the Kalamzoo Kings (44-26) in the start of a three game series.
Washington's first run came from a pair of doubles by Michael Parker and Jacob Dempsey in the third that tied the score at 1-1.

After Chris Sidick led off the bottom of the eighth with a single, Ernie Banks hit a triple into the corner in right field. Banks scored on a sacrifice fly by Grant Psomas to cut the lead down to 5-3.
