The Washington Wild Things (41-24), presented by Washington Federal Thursday in front of a sell out crowd of 3,311. This is the Wild Things eighth consecutive victory.

The Wild Things scored in the first when Mike Arbinger drove in Lance Koenig; it was Arbinger's 73rd RBI of the season.

Rascals' Outfielder David Arnold tied the game up in the top of the third when he hit a home run.

In the bottom of the third, however Swope singled, stole second, and ended up scoring on an error; Pat O'Brien drove in Arbinger.

Then in the sixth inning, Matt Swope drove in both Chris Sidick and Andy Hudak.

Brendon Davis (5-1) gets the win, going seven innings, allowing six hits, one run, striking out 11 and walking three. Corey Ohalek pitched two innings in relief, allowing only one base hit.

Outfielder Matt Swope's hitting streak continued. He has hit for the 25th consecutive game.

The Wild Things surpassed the 100,000 mark for attendance this season with Thursday's sellout. This was the team's 13th straight sell out this season.

The Wild Things and Rascals meet for the third and final time of the 2005 regular season Friday night when first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Air time on WJPA 95.3 FM and www.msasports.net is 6:55 p.m. Fans will be treated to a fireworks display following the game, courtesy of Washington Auto Mall.
