WHL Announces Conference Award Winners

Calgary, AB - The Western Hockey League announced today Eastern and Western Conference individual award winners for its 50th Season.

All individual conference award winners will be eligible for League awards at the 2016 WHL Awards in Calgary, AB on Wednesday, May 4th.

2015-16 WHL Conference Award Winners:

WHL Executive of the Year (Lloyd Saunders Memorial Trophy)

Eastern Conference Executive of the Year - Peter Anholt, Lethbridge Hurricanes

Western Conference Executive of the Year - Cameron Hope, Victoria Royals

WHL Coach of the Year (Dunc McCallum Memorial Trophy)

Eastern Conference Coach of the Year - Brent Kisio, Lethbridge Hurricanes

Western Conference Coach of the Year - Dave Lowry, Victoria Royals

WHL Most Sportsmanlike Player of the Year (Brad Hornung Trophy)

Eastern Conference Most Sportsmanlike Player - Jake Bean (Calgary, AB), Calgary Hitmen

Western Conference Most Sportsmanlike Player - Tyler Soy (Coquitlam, BC), Victoria Royals

WHL Rookie of the Year (Jim Piggott Memorial Trophy)

Eastern Conference Rookie of the Year - Noah Gregor (Beaumont, AB), Moose Jaw Warriors
