With the scored tied 4-4, Decker reached on an infield-single and Tim Rotola reached on a bunt-single. After a sacrifice bunt advanced the runners, Ryan Harris (1-2) intentionally walked Leivi Ventura. A wild pitch scored Decker to put the WhiteWings on top.
That made a winner of Andrew Dowl (1-0), who allowed two runs (one earned) on two hits and one walk while striking out one in three and two-thirds innings.

The Roadrunners (3-7) responded against Luis Chirinos in the top of the fourth. Stantrel Smith singled with one out. R.J. Harris followed with a grounder to third with Smith in motion. Ventura charged the ball, barehanded and fired to first just in time to nip Harris, but the throw back to third to try to nail Smith got away, allowing Smith to score to make it 4-1.

Osiel Flores led off the top of the sixth with a four-pitch walk against Dowl. After stealing second, Smith singled to put runners on the corners. Harris hit a fly ball to leftfield, but David Peralta dropped the ball as Flores scored and Smith moved to second. C.J. Beatty followed with an RBI-single to tie the game.
