WhiteWings Add Two Home Games to Make up for Games Lost to Hurricane Alex and Tropical Depression #2

HARLINGEN - United League Baseball's Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings announced today that they will host the Coastal Bend Thunder at Harlingen Field on Thursday and Friday, August 19 and 20, with both games beginning at 7:05 p.m., as a makeup of the home games the WhiteWings were scheduled to play on June 29 against the Laredo Broncos and July 8 against the Amarillo Dillas before Hurricane Alex and Tropical Depression #2 forced the postponement of those games.

Tickets to games on June 29 and July 8 can be exchanged for tickets to the games on August 19 and 20 at the Harlingen Field box office. Additionally, season ticket holders can exchange any unused tickets to previously played games for tickets to these games.

August 19 is Harlingen community night. All Harlingen residents will be able to buy one ticket and get one free with a valid ID. It is also Thirsty Thursday, presented by Local's Lounge, when fans can get $1 draft beers and cans of sodas as well as $2 bottles of both beer and soda.

August 20 is both Frito-Lay and AT&T Real Yellow Pages Night.

"It is important for us to play as many home games as possible to reward our fans for their dedication and passion. We have a very loyal base of fans and corporate partners and we thank them for their support all season," WhiteWings General Manager Cory Dirksen said.

Gates for both games open at 6:05 p.m.
