Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings News Release

Harlingen - United League Baseball's Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings announced today that they have activated outfielder Domenic Di Ricco (6-0, 185, Cornell University), who missed the first 13 games of the season with a hamstring injury suffered on May 24 in a pre-season win over Edinburg.

The WhiteWings have also released infielder Brad Menadier (6-1, 195, Warner University).

A 23-year old rookie from Portola Valley, California, Di Ricco was signed out of the Arizona Winter League, where he hit .355 (22-for-62) with four doubles, one triple, nine RBI and 13 runs scored. He walked 11 times while striking out six times and stole three bases in five attempts.

Menadier was hitting .276 (8-for-29) with one double and one RBI.

The WhiteWings are members of United League Baseball, an independent league of six professional baseball teams located in Texas that has sent two players to Major League Baseball in Edwar Ramirez (New York Yankees) and Robinson Cancel (New York Mets). In its fifth season, the United League is gearing up for a great summer with teams located in Amarillo, Edinburg, Harlingen, Laredo, Robstown and San Angelo.
