
WhiteWings Acquire Pitcher to Complete Peralta Trade

Laredo - United League Baseball's Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings announced today that they have acquired right-handed pitcher Steve Raburn (6-5, 220, Riverside Community College) as the player to be named later in the trade that sent right-handed pitcher Juan Peralta (6-0, 190) to the Laredo Broncos on June 6.
Raburn is 1-1 with one save and a 12.28 ERA for the Broncos in seven and one-third innings spanning six games. He has struck out nine while walking four and allowing 10 hits. Before joining the Broncos, Raburn was pitching for the Normal CornBelters (Frontier League), where he recorded two saves and a 1.29 ERA in eight games. In 14 innings he struck out 13 while walking four and allowing eight hits.
He takes the roster spot of right-hander Matt Morris (6-1, 220), who gave up two runs on three hits in two innings in his long outing for the team on Wednesday.
