Whitecaps FC Announce 2024 MLS Regular Season Schedule

VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Whitecaps FC will celebrate the club's 50th anniversary in 2024, and it's shaping up to be the biggest season in MLS yet.

MLS announced the complete regular season schedule on Wednesday, with several highlights to mark down on the calendar for Whitecaps FC supporters.

The only way to secure a seat to every MLS regular season home match at BC Place is by becoming a Whitecaps FC season member. For more information visit whitecapsfc.com/tickets.

Single match tickets will go on sale in the new year, with season members receiving priority pre-sale access. Fans can sign up to be notified when single match tickets will be available by visiting whitecapsfc.com/tickets/singles.

"We ended 2023 with two of our top 10 attendances ever for MLS matches at BC Place. Next year, starting with our home opener and our 50th anniversary celebrations, we are looking forward to setting even more records in 2024."

Whitecaps FC weekend home game kickoff times and TSN broadcast schedule will be announced in the coming weeks. Vancouver's AM 730 will broadcast all the games live on radio for the fourth consecutive season. More information on 50th anniversary celebrations, as well as additional community and celebration matches, will be announced in the new year.

Saturday, March 2: Whitecaps FC host their season and home opener, welcoming Charlotte FC to BC Place for the first time

Saturday, March 30: The reigning Cascadia Cup champs play the first of three Cascadia home matches as the 'Caps host Portland Timbers

Saturday, April 6: Whitecaps FC match up against Canadian foes Toronto FC in their first visit to BC Place since the exhilarating 2022 Canadian Championship Final

Saturday, May 25: The 'Caps play their first ever match against Inter Miami CF, welcoming the Leagues Cup champions to BC Place

Saturday, August 24: A rematch from the 2023 MLS Cup Playoffs as the 'Caps battle LAFC

Wednesday, October 2: Seattle make their lone visit to BC Place as the 'Caps wrap-up their Cascadia schedule

Saturday, October 5: Whitecaps FC play Minnesota United FC in their final home match of the regular season before playing on the road at Real Salt Lake on Decision Day

Whitecaps FC enter the 2024 season following their highest scoring season of the MLS era, scoring more than 70 goals across five different competitions, including a second consecutive Canadian Championship and a second berth in the MLS Cup Playoffs in the past three seasons.

The 'Caps will have a bye during the opening weekend of the MLS season. Throughout the regular season, Whitecaps FC will play every Western Conference team home and away, with an additional match against each of Portland (home) and Seattle (away).

The 'Caps will also play six Eastern Conference teams, with the home matches against Charlotte FC, Toronto FC, and Inter Miami CF. The three Eastern Conference road matches will be against New York Red Bulls, New England Revolution, and CF Montreal.

Vancouver's 2024 schedule sees 15 of 17 home matches played on Saturdays, and two on Wednesdays. The 'Caps will have two three-match road trips, as well as two three-match homestands and one four-match homestand.

From April 20 to July 13, the 'Caps will play 11 of 15 matches on the road. Following that stretch, Whitecaps FC will conclude the regular season with eight of 12 matches at BC Place from July 17 to October 19.

Canadian Championship

Details for the 2024 Canadian Championship will be announced by Canada Soccer at a later date.

Leagues Cup

After the global soccer community's eyes turned to Leagues Cup this past summer to witness Inter Miami's historical win, the World Cup-style club competition featuring all LIGA MX and Major League Soccer teams, is set to return for its 2024 edition. Kicking off Friday, July 26 with the tournament final on Sunday, August 25, 2024, the official Concacaf tournament will maintain its three berths to Concacaf Champions Cup, with the Leagues Cup champion qualifying directly to the Round of 16. In 2023, the tournament featured 77 intense matches, capturing the hearts of nearly 1.3 million fans in the stadiums with an average attendance of approximately 17,000 fans per match. The competition was intensified by an action-packed format which saw an average of 3.26 goals per match.

Fans in more than 100 countries and regions can tune in to all the Leagues Cup action on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV. TelevisaUnivision, TV Azteca, FOX Sports, TSN and RDS will broadcast select Leagues Cup matches in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

MLS Decision Day 2024

Decision Day 2024 - the final matchday of the MLS regular season with postseason implications on the line - is set for Saturday, October 19. The slate of 14 matches will feature all Eastern Conference matches kicking off at 3 p.m. PT and all Western Conference matches beginning at 6 p.m. PT, respectively on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV. Across both conferences ahead of Decision Day 2023, a total of 10 teams were in the hunt for the final five postseason positions, while those in the playoffs were looking to clinch either homefield advantage or the final Concacaf Champions Cup spot.

2024 MLS Cup

The 2024 MLS Cup Playoffs will culminate in Major League Soccer's championship match, MLS Cup on Saturday, December 7, with hosting rights awarded to the competing team with the better regular season record.
