Major League Soccer and D.C. United Announce 2024 Schedule

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Major League Soccer (MLS) and D.C. Unitedhave announced the club's 2024 MLS Regular Season Schedule. The Black-and-Red open their season at Audi Field on Saturday, February 24 at 7:30 PM EST against the New England Revolution.

The upcoming 2024 season will mark a new era for the club under the leadership of new General Manager and Chief Soccer Officer Ally Mackay. Mackay joined the Black-and-Red in November after five seasons with Nashville SC. Mackay has made several acquisitions including midfielder Jared Stroud, defender Lucas Bartlett, and defender Aaron Herrera.

Single match tickets plan to go on-sale on January 10, 2024, but fans can receive priority pre-sale access on January 9, 2024, by registering their interest here.

MLS is Back opening week action continues with MLS clubs competing across a slate of 14 matches on Saturday, Feb. 24 and Sunday, Feb. 25, highlighted by the LA Galaxy hosting Inter Miami CF on Sunday, Feb. 25 at Dignity Health Sports Park (8:30 p.m. ET, MLS Season Pass on Apple TV).

MLS Season Pass also features an array of exclusive on-demand content in addition to MLS 360, the four-hour live whip-around show providing live look-ins from every match alongside expert analysis and discussion, and MLS Wrap-Up, featuring full recaps and postgame coverage of all the matchday action in English and Spanish.

Select MLS matches will also be available on the FOX family of networks in the U.S. and TSN and RDS in Canada. FOX Sports will air 34 games in 2024 in the U.S., including 15 matches on FOX and 19 matches on FS1, with all FOX Sports broadcasts also providing Spanish-language coverage on FOX Deportes. The comprehensive schedule of TSN and RDS regular season matches, which will include at least one match per week featuring an MLS Canadian club, will be announced in the coming weeks.

2024 Schedule Format

Every team will play 34 regular season games, with 17 at home and 17 away. The majority of matches in 2024 will be played on Saturdays and select Wednesdays, with local start times of 7:30 p.m.

Eastern Conference (15 Clubs): Eastern Conference clubs will play each Eastern Conference opponent twice (28 games), once at home and once away. In addition, Eastern Conference teams will play six matches against select Western Conference opponents (6 games).

Western Conference (14 Clubs): Western Conference teams will play each Western Conference opponent twice (26 games), once at home and once away, and additionally will play one or two intra-conference opponents a third time (1-2 games). Western Conference teams will play six to seven matches against teams in the Eastern Conference (6-7 games).

MLS All-Star Game 2024 presented by Target New Date: July 24 in Columbus, Ohio

The 2024 MLS All-Star Game presented by Target, hosted in Columbus, Ohio at Lower.com Field, is now set for Wednesday, July 24 (MLS Season Pass on Apple TV).

The action-packed week will bring world-class soccer events, music, interactive fan experiences, and community-focused events to Columbus. The opponent for the 2024 MLS All-Star Game presented by Target will be announced at a later date.

Leagues Cup

After the global soccer community's eyes turned to Leagues Cup this past summer to witness Inter Miami's historical win, the World Cup-style club competition featuring all LIGA MX and Major League Soccer teams, is set to return for its 2024 edition. Kicking off Friday, July 26 with the tournament final on Sunday, August 25, 2024, the official Concacaf tournament will maintain its three berths to Concacaf Champions Cup, with the Leagues Cup champion qualifying directly to the Round of 16. In 2023, the tournament featured 77 intense matches, capturing the hearts of nearly 1.3 million fans in the stadiums with an average attendance of approximately 17,000 fans per match. The competition was intensified by an action-packed format which saw an average of 3.26 goals per match.

Fans in more than 100 countries and regions can tune in to all the Leagues Cup action on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV. TelevisaUnivision, TV Azteca, FOX Sports, TSN and RDS will broadcast select Leagues Cup matches in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

MLS Decision Day 2024

Decision Day 2024 - the final matchday of the MLS regular season with postseason implications on the line - is set for Saturday, October 19. The slate of 14 matches will feature all Eastern Conference matches kicking off at 6 p.m. ET and all Western Conference matches beginning at 9 p.m. ET, respectively on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.

Across both conferences ahead of Decision Day 2023, a total of 10 teams were in the hunt for the final five postseason positions, while those in the playoffs were looking to clinch either homefield advantage or the final Concacaf Champions Cup spot.

2024 MLS Cup presented by Audi

The Audi 2024 MLS Cup Playoffs will culminate in Major League Soccer's championship match, MLS Cup presented by Audi, Saturday, December 7, with hosting rights awarded to the competing team with the better regular season record.
