DAVENPORT, IA - Chris White went 3-for-3 in his Midwest League debut to lead the Whitecaps to a 7-2 win over Quad Cities in game one of a double header. White had a double, an RBI, scored twice and walked.

West Michigan jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the second inning and never looked back.

Ronnie Bourquin went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored while Jordan Newton had three RBI including two on a two-out double in the fifth that made the lead 5-0.

Five of the seven West Michigan runs scored with two out.

Jon Kibler pitched 6.2 innings to improve to 11-4. Wilton Garcia faced one batter in relief and struck out Carlos Pupo to end the game.

Off the Bench: Whitecaps hitting coach Benny Distefano will miss all three games of the series against the River Bandits to serve a suspension handed down by Midwest League President George Spelius. The suspension stems from the Whitecaps game on July 21 at Burlington when Distefano was ejected during a rain delay.
