DAVENPORT, IA - Brett Wallace hit a three run homer that proved to be the difference in the second game of a double header won by Quad Cities, 5-2 over the Whitecaps. West Michigan won the first game, 7-2.

Wallace also doubled and scored in the sixth inning to finish 2-for-3.

The victory earned a split in the twin bill for the River Bandits.

In the top of the first inning, Audy Ciriaco hit an RBI double to give West Michigan the lead.

Ryan Kulik pitched 5.2 innings for his longest outing of the season for Quad Cities. He earned the victory to improve to 3-3.

Pete Parise pitched the final 1.1 innings and held the Whitecaps scoreless to earn his 12th save of the season.

Orlando Perdomo pitched the final two innings of the game for the Whitecaps. He led the Midwest League with 28 saves for West Michigan in 2006, but missed all of last season due to injury.

Perdomo made his return to the Whitecaps in the same double header that Kenny Maiques returned to Quad Cities. Maiques was the league leader in saves with 31 in 2007.

Andrew Hess took the loss for West Michigan. He allowed four runs in four innings with six strikeouts.

Roberto Espinoza hit RBI singles for the River Bandits in both the fourth and sixth innings.
