BELOIT, WI - The Great Lakes Loons today, in conjunction with the Los Angeles Dodgers, announced the addition of 18-year old right-handed relief pitcher Luis Ferreras to the Loons' active roster. Ferreras replaces right-handed pitcher Daigoro Rondon, who has been placed on the Ogden roster.

He dominated the Dominican Summer League last year. In 23 relief appearances, he went 2-0 with a 0.99 ERA and 12 saves. He fanned a batter per inning (27 strikeouts in 27 1/3 innings) and limited opponents to a .183 average against.
The right-hander from Guayacanal, Dominican Republic combined with former Loons' pitcher Geison Aguasviva on a no-hitter June 29 in the DSL.
The Loons continue their six-game series with their second game against the Beloit Snappers tonight at Pohlman Field. Game time is 8:00pm ET. The game will be carried on the radio flagship home of Great Lakes Loons baseball, ESPN 100.9-FM.
