Brandon Wheat Kings News Release
Brandon, Manitoba -- The Western Hockey League's Brandon Wheat Kings have unveiled their latest means of reaching out to the community with the announcement that it's popular Corporate Good Guy Program is back for another season.
The idea of the Corporate Good Guy program is for area businesses and organizations to donate Wheat Kings' tickets to the charity of their choice so that less fortunate children throughout western Manitoba can also share in the experience of a Wheat Kings' game.
This program reflects the Wheat Kings ongoing commitment to children in our community.
"What could be better than putting a smile on a kid's face at the arena," says Wheat Kings' director of marketing Rick Dillabough. "This program remains one of the most important community programs that we offer. The hockey club and the many local business partners have done an excellent job in ensuring that kids without an opportunity to see live hockey are given a chance to see their heroes in action."
In addition to the tickets, new corporate memebers will also receive recognition on both the Keystone Centre scoreclock and public address system.
The Wheat Kings are pleased to announce that among the businesses that have already come on board for the new season are Manitoba Public Insurance, Maple Leaf (Big Brothers and Sisters), Manitoba Hydro (Manitoba Special Olympics), Simplot Canada, Mark's Work Warehouse (Y Kids), CIBC and CAA Manitoba.
