ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter the third week of the 2004-2005 regular season with a 6-2-1-0 record (4-1-1-0 at home, 2-1-0-0 on the road, 0-0-1-0 in overtime) and in first place in the BC DIVISION...KOOTENAY will play three of their next four games at home before leaving on a five game road trip through the EAST DIVISION (October 23 – 29).

TAILGATE PARTY: The CHAMPIONS OF THE ICE will be hosting their second tailgate party of the 2004-2005 season before the ICE face off against the VANCOUVER GIANTS on Saturday, October 16...You could win great prizes – including a night in the MOLSON suite for an upcoming game.

SPORTSACTION NIGHT: When the ICE host the KAMLOOPS BLAZERS on Tuesday, October 19, SPORTSACTION will be the title game sponsor...There will be "ZONES" where fans will have the opportunity to test their skills and win great prizes, including a chance to win t-shirts, jerseys or even a pair of 2005-2006 Season Tickets.

DID YOU KNOW: MARTIN SAGAT recorded his 50th career WHL point October 10 versus RED DEER...ADAM TAYLOR needs two goals to reach 50 in his WHL career...ROMAN POLAK recorded his first career WHL goal versus the REBELS...NIGEL DAWES needs 11 goals to move into first place in all-time goals scored with the KOOTENAY franchise (JARRET STOLL leads with 124)...DAWES needs 12 assists to move into fifth place in all-time assists (JASON JAFFRAY is fifth with 102 career assists)...JEFF GLASS needs to play in four more games to become the all-time KOOTENAY leader in career games played (DAN BLACKBURN leads with 101)...GLASS needs to play 417 minutes to move into first for all-time minutes played (BLACKBURN leads with 5,927).

TRANSACTION: KOOTENAY traded Defenseman DONNY LLOYD to the SWIFT CURRENT BRONCOS on October 6 in exchange for a sixth round selection in the 2005 WHL BANTAM DRAFT.

SCORING STREAKS: CASEY LEE (3-4-7 in span) has recorded at least one point in each of his last six games...DEREK PRICE (0-4-4 in span) and ADAM CRACKNELL (2-1-3 in span) have both recorded at least one point in each of their last three games.

ONE YEAR AGO: After nine games of the 2003-2004 season the ICE were 4-2-1-2, after ten games 4-3-1-2 and after 11 games 5-3-1-2.

DRAFTED PLAYERS: JEFF GLASS – Ottawa Senators (3rd Round, 2004 Draft), MARTIN SAGAT – Toronto Maple Leafs (3rd Round, 2003 Draft), NIGEL DAWES – New York Rangers (5th Round, 2003 Draft), ROMAN POLAK – St. Louis Blues (6th Round, 2004 Draft), ADAM CRACKNELL – Calgary Flames (9th Round, 2004 Draft).
