Wheat Kings, WHL Assist "Hope to Dream" Campaign
March 29, 2018 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Brandon Wheat Kings News Release
Calgary, Alta. - The Western Hockey League is proud to partner with Ashley HomeStore for the second consecutive year to provide mattress sets in nine markets across the WHL throughout the 2017-18 season. Founded in 2010 by Ashley HomeStore, 'Hope to Dream' seeks to provide less fortunate children with a mattress set that is essential to a good night's sleep.
Ashley HomeStore, in partnership with the Brandon Wheat Kings, Calgary Hitmen, Edmonton Oil Kings, Lethbridge Hurricanes, Medicine Hat Tigers, Red Deer Rebels, Regina Pats, Saskatoon Blades and Swift Current Broncos, has donated 49 mattress sets to kids in need this season. This represents an increase on the 36 mattress sets donated during the 2016-17 WHL season. Ashley HomeStore believes by helping a child sleep well, they are poised to lead a healthier and more productive life.
"The WHL is very excited about the success of the partnership with Ashley HomeStore, which allows us to donate mattress sets through the Hope to Dream Program to less fortunate children and families," commented WHL Commissioner Ron Robison. "Through our partnership with Ashley HomeStore, we look forward to enriching the lives of many families for years to come."
"Partnering our Hope to Dream program with the WHL and the work they do in the community is a great fit. In 2017 Ashley HomeStore donated 540 beds to kids across the country through our Hope to Dream initiates" says Terry Cowan, Director of Marketing for AHS.
A portion of every mattress sold in Ashley HomeStore locations is donated to the Hope to Dream program in local communities. If you know a child in need of a mattress, visit www.ashleyfurniturehomestore.com/a-hope-to-dream to fill out a request form.
