Brandon Wheat Kings News Release

BRANDON, M.B. - The Brandon Wheat Kings will recall forward prospects Joby Baumuller('07) & Easton Odut('07) beginning next week.

This news comes with Charlie Elick, Roger McQueen and Caleb Hadland all attending The World U17 Challenge in Langley B.C. Nov 2nd to 12th.

Baumuller, 15 already has 7 goals scored in 9 games played with the Notre Dame Hounds (SMAAAHL). The Wilcox, SK native got to suit up for a couple preseason games with the Wheat Kings last September. Baumuller is the top ranked prospect for the Wheat Kings drafted 12th overall in the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft.

Odut, 15, has already been lighting the lamp with the U18 AAA Brandon Wheat Kings scoring 5 goals and adding 4 assists in only 6 games played. The Brandon native was drafted #34th overall in the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft.

Wheat Kings General Manager Marty Murray is looking forward to seeing what Baumuller and Odut can do. "With our guys away at the U17 event, it's an opportunity for our organization and fans to see the future", stated Murray. "We are excited to have Joby & Easton, a couple of our top prospects to be able to come in for a few days. It will be a great experience for them to be around our guys and get their feet wet at the WHL level".

Baumuller is expected to play next Wednesday and Friday night when the Wheat Kings host the Everett Silvertips and Tri City Americans. Odut is expected to suit up next Saturday when the Wheat Kings host the Saskatoon Blades.

Tickets are available for those games plus this Friday's game which is one of our "Next Level Night's Out" for Willie's Birthday when the Wheat Kings host the Winnipeg Ice. Tickets available through the Wheat Kings ticketmaster site.
