Tonight's Matchup: The Brandon Wheat Kings continue their four-game Alberta road trip this afternoon with a matinee affair vs the Edmonton Oil Kings. This is the fourth meeting of the season between these two teams, Brandon is 1-1-0-1 vs the EOK this season.
Last Time Out: 4-1 W @ Red Deer: Nate Danielson (4A) and Ridly Greig (1G-3A) each had four-point nights as the Wheat Kings handed the Rebels their 10th regulation loss of the season, 4-1 last night. Carson Bjarnason stopped 25 shots for his 5th win of the season. Rylen Roersma (x2) and Chad Nychuk rounded out the BWK scoring.

Alberta Pure: It was a good night to be from Alberta on Friday. Three players from the sunshine province combined for 10 points on route to the 4-1 win over Red Deer. Ridly Greig (1G-3A), Nate Danielson (4A), and Rylen Roersma (2G) carried the mail for the BWK. Six of Brandon's last 7 goals have been scored by an Alberta-born player.
#1 in the Dub: Brandon's win on Friday gives them points in eight straight games dating back to December 10th, 2021. The Wheat Kings are 5-0-2-1 in their last eight games and haven't lost in regulation since December 8th in Moose Jaw.
Welcome Back Rids: In two games since returning from Canada's World Junior tournament, Ridly Greig has three goals and three assists and is a combined +4. Greig has just three games this season without at least a point.
Matinee Affair: Due to the NHL rescheduling tonight's Oilers/Senators game, the Wheat Kings and Oil Kings will play at 3:00 (MB time) today. The Wheat Kings are 2-0 in matinee games this season. In the 'Hub' last season, Brandon finished 6-1-2-0 in 4:00 mid-day starts.
