Utah Flash News Release

OREM, Utah - The Los Angeles D-Fenders rallied behind 56-percent shooting from the field Saturday night to pick up a 107-94 NBA Development League victory over the Utah Flash at the McKay Events Center.

Sean Banks was one of four D-Fenders in double-digits as he led Los Angeles with 21 points, while Wendell White recorded his first double-double of the season with 15 points and 10 rebounds.

The D-Fenders (4-4) return home to face Bakersfield on Thursday before returning back to Utah to face the Flash for the third time in eight days December 15. Utah (4-4) will host Anaheim on Friday before the rematch with the D-Fenders.

The Flash trailed by as much as 23 points in the third quarter before mounting a comeback that cut the Los Angeles lead to 10, but Utah was unable to overcome a 38-percent shooting night and 62 D-Fenders points in the paint.

"Last night we came out and made the shots and tonight we came out and settled." Flash coach Brad Jones said. "We tried to come out tonight and win the game 30-feet from the basket instead of attacking the paint."

Robert Whaley, who entered Saturday's game averaging 6.3 points per game, recorded a D-League career high as he finished in double figures for the second consecutive night for Los Angeles with 17 points. Coby Karl added 17 points as well, while Brian Chase chipped in 17 points off the bench.

The Flash was led by Kyrylo Fesenko, who finished with 21 points and seven boards. Morris Almond chipped in 16 points in his second start for the Flash. Gabe Pruitt added 12 points while John Millsap and Michael Cuffee came off the bench, chipping in 12 and 14 points, respectively.
