February 5, 2015 - NBA G League (G League)
Westchester Knicks News Release
White Plains, NY, February 5, 2015 - The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA Development League affiliate of the New York Knickerbockers, and Pepe Auto Group, the team's Official Luxury Auto Group Partner, will host a special jersey night for the team's game against the Delaware 87ers on Friday, Feb. 6 at 7:00 p.m. at the Westchester County Center. The game will highlight and benefit My Sisters' Place, a White Plains based organization that provides education, awareness, and legal services to those suffering from or at risk of domestic violence.
As part of the special night, the Westchester Knicks will wear purple customized jerseys featuring both Pepe Auto Group and My Sisters' Place logos. In a pre-game ceremony, the Westchester Knicks will present Karen Cheeks-Lomax, Executive Director of My Sisters' Place, and Gary Turco, General Manager of Mercedes Benz White Plains, with a commemorative team jersey. During half time, the Westchester Knicks will show a recorded interview with Mr. Turco and Ms. Cheeks-Lomax.
"We're proud to be a sponsor of the Westchester Knicks, and even prouder to be able to bring in an organization close to our hearts, that has such a great impact in the sports community and our greater community at large," says Turco. "We love working with My Sisters' Place, and we do what we can to always support them."
The dedicated game on Friday, Feb. 6 at 7:00 p.m. at the Westchester County Center will include a silent auction featuring three signed Westchester Knicks jerseys, with proceeds from the auction going to My Sisters' Place. There will also be an information table for fans at the game to learn about the programs and services of My Sisters' Place.
Pepe Auto Group has supported hundreds of local organizations through various philanthropic efforts over the years. My Sisters' Place has developed an excellent partnership specifically with Mercedes Benz of White Plains.
Pepe Auto Group became a partner of the Westchester Knicks earlier this season and along with the special jersey night, players are making appearances throughout the season at dealer locations including Mercedes Benz of White Plains, Mercedes Benz of New Rochelle, Pepe Infinity, Pepe Cadillac, and Porsche of Larchmont. The auto group is also receiving brand presence at the team's home games at the Westchester County Center, including a permanent on-site car display, an on-court, and courtside LED signage.
