A two-run rally in the seventh inning sent the West Virginia Power to a 3-2 win over the Lexington Legends Monday night in Charleston.

The Legends jumped out to the lead in the first inning. With two outs, Zach Johnson was hit by a pitch and Matt Duffy homered to left field to put the Legends up 2-0.

West Virginia answered with a run in the bottom of the first. Alen Hanson led off with a double and moved to third on a bunt single by Kirk Singer. Dan Gomache struck out, but Jose Osuna's sacrifice fly to center field scored Hanson.

The score remained 2-1 until the bottom of the seventh inning. Hanson led off with a bunt single that was fielded by Johnson, the first baseman, as second baseman Delino DeShields Jr. moved to cover first. Johnson's throw went past first base for an error, allowing Hanson to reach second. Singer followed with another bunt single as Johnson took third. After Gamache hit a sacrifice fly to score Hanson with the tying run, Singer advanced to second on a balk by Legends reliever Nathan Pettus. Singer moved to third on a wild pitch, and scored the tie-breaking run on another sacrifice fly by Osuna.

Porfirio Lopez (1-1) who entered the game in the sixth and pitched three scoreless innings, got the win. Emmanuel De Leon pitched a scoreless ninth to get his fourth save. Pettus (0-3) took the loss.
