Weekend Preview: Havoc Hit Tree Different Cities with Four-Game-In-Five Night Stretch

HUNTSVILLE, AL- The 7-2 Huntsville Havoc team will play in their 14th four-game-in-five-night series this week while taking on three different teams in three different cities.

In their only game of the weekend, the Havoc registered two goals less than a minute apart from each other twice in the 5-4 loss on Saturday to the Peoria Rivermen.
Huntsville scored two in the second and the third and now have registered multiple goals in a frame six times in the first four meetings against Peoria. The two teams will meet one final time this year on December 1st.
Lou Educate continues to have success against the Rivermen, scoring goals seven and eight on the year in Saturday's action.
Vs. Columbus
The Havoc will head to "The Snake Pit" for the first time this season to take on the Columbus Cottonmouths for the second time on the year. The two clubs will meet five more times including two on a weekday.
Huntsville has given up two or less in three of last five overall this year while not allowing Columbus to score more than three in a game in six of last ten meetings.
Heading into the Columbus Civic Center, the Havoc have won four of the last five while outscoring the Cottonmouths 20-12.
In their first meeting this season, Huntsville came away with the 3-0 win marking the fourth time the Havoc have shutout the Cottonmouths in the last twelve years. There have only been eight shutouts between the two teams in 116 games.
The Cottonmouths have given up an average of 35.67 shots per game, the most in the league, with Huntsville taking the shotboard in eight of the last nine meetings between the two clubs including two separate 40+ shot outings.
Huntsville has reclaimed dominance in the series over recent games winning nine of the last eleven after losing seven straight.
Vs. Knoxville
The Havoc take on the Ice Bears for the third time this year on Thursday. It will be the final time the teams will meet until January for Huntsville's first of two Sunday games on the year.
Huntsville is 1-1 on the year and have not lost back to back games against Knoxville since the 2014-15 season.
The Havoc have had each of the last four decided by a goal coming into . Against Knoxville, five of the last eleven have been decided by a tally.
Thursday's action will see the battle of top two producing offenses in the league. Coming into this week, Huntsville and Knoxville have lit the lamp 36 times. In fact, Huntsville's best period is the second where the team is outscoring their opponent 2-to-1 which is Knoxville's worst period; giving up 11 in the middle frame.
The Havoc have registered at least three goals in eight of the last 11 meetings between the two clubs dating back to November 10th, 2015.
Huntsville has taken the lead into the second period three times this season including once against Knoxville. The Ice Bears are 0-2 on the year when trailing after one.
Vs. Pensacola
The Havoc will wrap up a four-game-in-five-night stretch with a home-and-home series against the Ice Flyers starting Friday.
Huntsville beat Pensacola in their first meeting of the season two weeks ago with a 3-2 shootout victory.
The weekend series marks just the third home-and-home series between the two clubs in the seven-season history.
Huntsville has won two of the last three meetings against Pensacola overall while grabbing standings points in two of the last four matchups in Florida.
Pensacola has a three-game-in-four-night week of their own starting with a road game against the Mississippi RiverKings on Wednesday.
The team to score first has won six of the last eight in the series with six different third period comebacks by either side during the same stretch.
Thanksgiving with the Havoc
Thursday's game marks the 10th straight year the Havoc will play on turkey day at home and 13th overall.
Huntsville is 4-4-2-2 in franchise history on the day while registering standings points in each of the last three.
Five of the 13 Thanksgiving Day games have been decided in either overtime or a shootout.
Home Game Ticket Info
The Havoc will return home for two games this Thursday and Friday. Thanksgiving will see the team's second Hockey Night in Huntsville of the year with $2 specials at the concession stands. Friday is the team's annual Star Wars/Teddy Bear Toss Night where the Havoc will sport special Chewbacca jerseys which will be auctioned off after the game. All proceeds from the auction will go to Manna House and North Alabama Hockey Association. Fans are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Star Wars character and bring a bear to toss onto the ice when Huntsville scores its first goal of the night.
