Wednesday's IronPigs-Red Sox Game Suspended Due to Rain

(Allentown, Pa.) - Wednesday's game between the Lehigh Valley IronPigs and the Pawtucket Red Sox was suspended in the top of the third inning due to heavy rain and high winds at Coca-Cola Park. The game was scoreless when steady rain forced the suspension. A make-up date for the resumption of the suspended game will be announced in the near future.

Due to the postponement, fans holding tickets to Wednesday's game can exchange each ticket for a ticket of equal or lesser value to any remaining 2013 regular season game at Coca-Cola Park. All ticket exchanges must be made in-person at the Coca-Cola Park Ticket Office (no phone or internet exchanges). Ticket exchanges are subject to availability. Fans with additional questions are asked to call (610) 841-PIGS (7447).

Wednesday's contest got underway roughly 90 minutes after the scheduled first pitch time of 7:05 p.m. due to an early evening thunderstorm that included heavy rain, hail and high winds.

The IronPigs now embark on an eight-game road trip that begins on Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. against the Syracuse Chiefs at NBT Bank Stadium. After the week-long trip, the IronPigs return home to battle the Buffalo Bisons in a four-game set that commences on Friday, April 19, at 7:05 p.m. Friday Night Fireworks will immediately follow the IronPigs-Bisons series opener.
