Toledo Mud Hens News Release

The Indianapolis Indians roughed up the Hens' pitchers in a 7-2 win on Wednesday afternoon to secure an early season sweep.

After rain delayed the game for 38 minutes, the Hens took an early 1-0 lead in the second inning when Jordan Lennerton connected for his first home run of the season. However, Hens starter Pat Misch struggled early, allowing two runs in the second inning before a Quintin Berry fielding error allowed three more runs to score to give the Indians a 5-1 lead.

The Mud Hens got one back in the third inning when Danny Dorn led off the inning with his second home run of the season. The Indians never looked back though, taking a 7-2 lead for good after Misch allowed two more runs in the fourth inning.

The Hens return home tomorrow to take on the Louisville Bats on Opening Day at Fifth Third Field. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. and Casey Crosby is scheduled to take the hill
