
Webb promoted to Greensboro

(GREENSBORO, NC) The Florida Marlins announced today that utility player Justin Webb has been promoted to Greensboro from the GCL Marlins in Jupiter, FL. He was the 23rd round pick out of the University of North Carolina in this season's draft.
While with the GCL team, Webb was hitting .292 in 24 games played. He had 21 hits, including five doubles and scored 11 runs. Webb's on base percentage was .436, the highest amongst the GCL roster. He played almost all positions seeing nine times at second base, once at third, six times at shortstop, once in the outfield and seven times in the catching role.
The 6'0, 174-pound utility player is a native of Macclesfield, NC.
