
Watson Earns Call-Up with AHL's Stockton Heat

WINDSOR, CO. - The Colorado Eagles, proud affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche, announced today that defenseman Cliff Watson has been called up by the AHL's Stockton Heat. Watson has posted 12 goals and 18 assists in 44 ECHL games this season, while notching one assist in seven AHL games with the San Jose Barracuda and Utica Comets.
Watson was named to the 2018 ECHL All-Star Team and has posted three goals and two assists in eight games with the Eagles after being acquired in a trade with the Utah Grizzlies last month. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound blueliner is in his rookie season, after completing a four-year career at Michigan Tech, spending his final two seasons as team captain. Watson highlighted his collegiate career by helping lead the Huskies to a WCHA Championship in 2017.
Colorado returns to action when they travel to the Allen Event Center in Allen, Texas for a match up with the Allen Americans on Friday, March 30th at 6:05pm MT.
