Waterloo Black Hawks News Release

Please find the Waterloo Black Hawks Players of the Week listed below. Players of the Week are chosen each Monday by the Black Hawks coaches and staff and posted on waterlooblackhawks.com.

FishSticks Millwork Offensive Player of the Week - Blake Winiecki

The veteran Black Hawk led the team with three goals last weekend and tallied four total points - all on the power play. Winiecki sent 13 shots on net.

Denver Construction Defensive Player of the Week - Alec McCrea

McCrea led Black Hawks defensemen with a +2 plus/minus rating in the games Waterloo played at Sioux Falls and Sioux City. He is now +3 this season.

UAW Local 838 Hardest Worker - Peter Krieger

With four points, Krieger assumed the role of top scorer for Waterloo during 2013/14. His goal and three assists last weekend give him 11 points this season.

Convenient Care Heart of the Week - Cal Petersen

Petersen made 36 saves on his way to a win Friday. At least two of the stops were off his facemask and his lip was cut in a separate incident, but that could not hold Petersen back from his 30th regular season victory.
