GARY, Ind. - The Gary SouthShore RailCats will host Game Three of the Northern League Championship Series Friday night at U. S. Steel Yard, and in preparation for a big weekend of baseball fans around Chicagoland are invited to watch a special Playoff Edition of Inside RailCats Baseball Thursday night at 8 p.m. on Lakeshore Public Television.

Lakeshore Public Television is available on Channel 17 on Comcast Cable throughout Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland, and also on channel 56 on DIRECTV, Dish Network and basic digital and analog connections. The show will run for 30 minutes Thursday night beginning at 8 p.m.

This special edition of Inside RailCats Baseball will feature a highlight-heavy recap the RailCats 2009 regular season. The show also includes interviews with RailCats players, coaches and staff, along with a pair of special mini-features, highlighted by a profile of fifth-year RailCats infielder Steve Haake.

Inside RailCats Baseball is produced by the Gary SouthShore RailCats and Synergy Media Inc. of Gary, Ind. The show is hosted by RailCats Director of Media Relations and Broadcasting Andy Viano.

The RailCats will complete a suspended game one and play all of game two of the Northern League Championship Series Wednesday in Fargo, N.D. beginning at 5 p.m. The RailCats and Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks will play games three, four and five at U. S. Steel Yard this weekend.

Along with the excitement of championship baseball, the first 1,500 fans Friday will also get a free hot dog, the first 1,000 will pick up a free RailCats "Tradition of Excellence" poster and the first 300 kids - age 12 and under - will nab a free logo baseball. After the game, all fans will be treated to a special post-game fireworks show.
