Moose Jaw Warriors News Release

MOOSE JAW, SK-The Moose Jaw Warriors have teamed up with Redgoat Sports to launch a rather unique fundraising campaign for breast cancer. Beginning this Friday when the Warriors take on the Swift Current Broncos at

Mosaic Place, the Warriors will be selling "stick toques", with all funds raised going directly to the Moose Jaw Union Hospital in support of the battle against breast cancer.

In support of the Moose Jaw Health Foundation's "Moose Jaw Cares" campaign, this program will aim to raise $10,000 for the purchase of new equipment to help breast cancer patients with their treatments. Funds raised will go towards the purchase of a new medical pump that will allow patients to receive their medication in the comfort of their own home.

"We found a cool winter hat that's fun and practical for all ages from a Canadian based company by the name of Stickheads." commented Warriors assistant coach, and founder of Redgoat sports, Mike Vandenberghe. "These hats fit into our world of hockey and have now become our fundraiser. DR Design Company created a logo we think shares our vision for the campaign and all the profits stay right here in the city with the Moose Jaw Union Hospital."

These special hats, which retail for $25, are strictly limited to only 500 and will be available at the game Friday October 14th on the concourse. For each hat purchased you can also enter to win the grand prize to be drawn on February 15th, 2012. Any donation made that evening will also be entered into the grand prize draw.

A Special THANK YOU to all of the sponsors who have help make this campaign a reality.
