SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - The Santa Cruz Warriors defeated the Reno Bighorns 95-85 Friday, improving to 10-6 on the season and taking sole possession of first place in the West Division.

The Warriors were led by Dewayne Dedmon, who logged his tenth double-double in 11 games with a season-high 27 points and a game-high 19 rebounds. Daniel Nwaelele added 17 points, while Cameron Jones scored 16. Nemanja Nedovic, currently on assignment from the Golden State Warriors, scored seven points.

Reno was paced by Mo Charlo, who recorded a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. K.C. Rivers also scored 17, while Brandon Heath scored 13 and dished out a game-high five assists.

There were six lead changes in the game - all in the first quarter. The Bighorns held a five-point advantage with 6:56 left in the first, but the Warriors went on a 18-1 run to end the period and take a 12-point lead. The Bighorns came within five twice in the third quarter, but the Warriors had an answer each time. Reno went on a 10-1 run in the fourth quarter to cut Santa Cruz's lead to nine, but the Warriors closed the game and won by 10.

Santa Cruz shot 45.0% from the floor, while Reno shot 39.2%. The Warriors held the edge on rebounds (49-36), points in the paint (50-28), assists (17-12) and turnovers (22-23). The Bighorns had more steals (12-10).
