
Stampede Acquire Kevin Murphy

BOISE, Idaho, January 4, 2014 - The Idaho Stampede has added guard Kevin Murphy to the active roster. He is expected to join the team and be in uniform tonight when the Stampede host the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
Murphy (6-6, 185, Tennessee Tech) was drafted in the second round of the 2012 NBA Draft by the Utah Jazz. The shooting guard played in 17 games for Utah during the 2012-13 season. During that same season, Murphy played in 14 games on assignment for the Reno Bighorns, averaging 13.2 points and 3.1 rebounds.
To make room for Murphy on the active roster, the Stampede has waived guard Reggie Hamilton.
Murphy is expected to wear number 33 and make his Stampede debut tonight against Rio Grande Valley.
