Austin, TX Jan. 4, 2014 - The Austin Toros today announced a trade with the Sioux Falls Skyforce bringing Charlie Westbrook to Austin in exchange for guard Tre Kelley. Westbrook is expected to join the team today.
Westbrook (6-4, 196) played in 10 games with the Skyforce this season averaging 12.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.30 steals in 23.2 minutes. He attended training camp with the Miami Heat and appeared in four preseason games. Westbrook appeared in 58 games, averaging 17.4 points and 4.4 rebounds in 30.4 minutes in two seasons (2010-12) at the University of South Dakota after transferring from Iowa Western Community College. He was named All-Summit League Second Team as a senior after averaging 18.7 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 28 games.
