Warrior-Themed Orange Shirts Available Now for Pre-Order
August 26, 2022 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Moose Jaw Warriors News Release
Pre-orders are now open for a special edition Moose Jaw Warriors shirt in honour of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Sept. 30.
The shirt was designed by Rodger W. Ross and graphic designer Quentin Karmark with Creerunner Communications Ltd.
"My vision for the design was to represent the children leaving the school and transforming into eagles, receiving their wings and heading to the light. In the Cree Culture, eagles represent messengers which carry our prayers to Creator and our Ancestors," Ross, who has worked as an Indigenous liaison with the Warriors this offseason, said.
"I also wanted the bird to symbolize the Warriors transition to their new Snowbird logo as well."
The shirts are available for pre-order at the Crushed Can Retail Store inside the Moose Jaw Events Centre and will be available for pick-up on Sept. 9.
Each shirt is $20 and there sizes available from adult small to XXL.
Net proceeds from the shirts will be donated to the Orange Shirt Society.
Season tickets for the 2022-23 season are available now. The Warriors will host the Prince Albert Raiders on National Truth and Reconciliation Day on Sept. 30.
