Inland Empire 66ers News Release
San Bernardino, CA - Inland Empire 66ers infielder Landis Ware has been activated from the disabled list for the final week of the 2012 regular season. He replaces Brandon Brewer who was placed on the disabled list with a right knee sprain.
Ware only appeared in three games for Inland Empire before a rib contusion put him on the DL. He has hit .325 in 2012 between the California League and the rookie level Arizona Summer League.
Brewer was the team's utility infielder and emergency pitcher and has excelled in both roles. Brewer's ERA on the mound is 3.00 through six appearances, and he struck out 11 batters in nine innings of emergency relief. At the plate he has hit .229 with eight RBI in 44 games.
Inland Empire fans have one final series at San Manuel Stadium during the regular season. Inland Empire is hosting the Lancaster JetHawks this week in a series that will conclude Thursday, August 30th with a Thirsty Thursday presented by Hanger 24. Tickets can be purchased at the 66ers box office and additional promotional information is available online at www.66ers.com.
