Giants Begin Three-Game Series At Lake Elsinore Tonight... The San Jose Giants continue their road trip this evening with the opener of a three-game series against the Lake Elsinore Storm at The Diamond. San Jose began the road trip with a 9-4 win at Rancho Cucamonga last Friday before suffering three consecutive losses of 11-8, 10-7 and 4-3 to the Quakes. In last night's series finale, Rancho Cucamonga took the lead for good with a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth before holding off the Giants to earn the victory. Starting pitcher Kelvin Marte suffered the loss despite matching a career-high with seven strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings. He allowed three runs (two earned) on seven hits during his stint on the mound.
