
Walraven Powers Boulders to 16-2 Win Over Y'alls

New York Boulders infielder Thomas Walraven will not be participating in the Frontier League Home Run Derby next week, but he is making a convincing case for himself.
Walraven homered twice and drove in five runs to power the Boulders to a 16-2 win over the Florence Y'alls on Saturday. Walraven finished the game 2 for 4 with four runs scored and has now homered six times in his last 12 games.
All nine Boulders starters hit safely for the first time this season, as New York tallied 17 hits in the offensive eruption. Joe DeLuca went 4 for 6 with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored. Gabriel Garcia, Patrick Kivlehan, David Vinsky, Chris Kwitzer, and Jimmy Costin each recored two hits in the win. Vinsky homered and scored three runs for New York.
The Boulders pitching staff kept up with their outstanding offensive output, allowing just six hits and striking out seven batters on Saturday. Starting pitcher Dawson Lane allowed one earned run over three innings, Aaron Dona tossed four scoreless innings of relief, and Aljo Sujak closed out the game with two scoreless innings of work.
Florence lost its 10th consecutive game and has now lost 18 of its last 22 games.
