Walleye Sign Former BGSU Goaltender Spratt; Froese Reassigned to Toledo

Toledo, OH - Goaltender Jimmy Spratt has agreed to terms with the Toledo Walleye. The NHL's Chicago Blackhawks have reassigned forward Byron Froese (FRAYZ) to the Toledo Walleye from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey league.

Spratt started this season in Quad City of the CHL with a 1-5-0 record, a 3.79 goals against average and a .875 save percentage. The 27 year old goaltender played games in Toledo back in 2010-11, with a 6-2-0, a 3.14 GAA and .901 SVP. A native of Chesterfield has a career record of 32-34-3 since becoming pro in 2009 with a career GAA of 3.54 and a .890 SVP. Drafted by the Calgary Flames in 2004, Spratt chose to go the college route and appeared in 100 games for the Falcons.

Froese has not appeared in a game since being injured on November 30. The native of Winkler, Manitoba had collected 17 points (5g, 12a) in 20 games this season with the Walleye.
