Walker Named Player of the Week

BOWIE, Md. - Baysox first baseman Christian Walker has been named Eastern League Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, May 18 after hitting a pair of home runs during the Baysox six-game roadtrip. This is the second time this season Walker has won the award, also winning the week ending April 20.

Walker hit .458 (11-24) for the week with three doubles, two home runs, six RBI and five runs scored. He hit safely in all six games played during the week with four multi-hit games. In 41 games this season, Walker is batting .325 (55-169) with six doubles, nine home runs and 33 RBI. He currently leads the league in RBI and is tied for second in home runs.
