Walk Off Single in 14th Gives Braves Win, 3-2

Rome, GA - The Rome Braves defeated the Augusta GreenJackets 3-2 on Wednesday afternoon in 14 innings. Rome wins five of the seven games played on the homestand.

After five no hit innings, the GreenJackets got on the board in the sixth on a RBI ground out by Rando Moreno and a run scoring single by Ryder Jones to take the 2-0 lead. The lead would hold until the bottom of the ninth when Rome rallied to tie the game on a ground out by Ross Wilson to score a run. Victor Caratini then reached on a fielder's choice to score another run. It would be a battle of the bullpens for the next four and a half innings until the bottom of the 14th. Rome loaded the bases on a walk to Ronald Luna, a single by Johan Camargo, and a walk to Ross Wilson. Carlos Sanchez then cracked a single to left to score the winning run for the 3-2 victory.

Michael Swanner (3-0) picks up the win while DJ Snelten (3-1) is charged with the loss. Tyler Brosius got the start for Rome and recorded five no hit innings.

The Rome Braves travel to Asheville to take on the Tourists in a three game series.
