Jesse Wilkening provides the late inning dramatics, plating Matt Kroon to give the Cutters a 3-2 walk-off win in the bottom of the 10th inning against Batavia.

Wilkening finished the night 2 for 5 with a run scored and the winning RBI. Jonathan Guzman was the only other Cutters to finish with a multi-hit night, going 2 for 5. The Cutters finished the night with eight hits.

With runners in scoring position, Williamsport went 4 for 17 and left 13 runners on base.

Jhordany Mezquita had to leave the his start after two innings due to injury. Mezquita struck out five batters and walked one over the two scoreless frames. Rafael Carvajal went the next three innings, allowing just one hit and striking out four. Austin Ross allowed one run on a solo home run in his three innings of work, striking out four. Robinson Martinez allowed one run to score, the placed runner in the top of the 10th, striking out three, getting his 1st win of the season.

It was the first walk-off win and the first extra-innings win for the Crosscutters in 2018. Snapping a three- game skid to the Muckdogs and a three-game overall skid.
