
Waldichuk Dominates Again

Left-hander Ken Waldichuk added six more scoreless innings to his resume along with ten strikeouts and one hit as the Hudson Valley Renegades beat the Brooklyn Cyclones, 8-0, at Maimonides Park.
Elvis Peguero and Charlie Ruegger combined to allow no runs and one hit to finish the shutout.
Waldichuk (2-0) has yet to allow a hit over 30.2 innings in 2021.
Josh Breaux's RBI single in the first plated Anthony Seigler with the game's first run. Isaiah Pastuer added a double in the second as part of a two-run inning that put the Gades ahead 3-0.
The Hudson Valley lumber company arrived in the fifth as Evan Alexander hit a two-run homer, followed by a solo shot off the bat of Ezequiel Duran. James Nelson and Frederick Cuevas also added RBI's in the five-run frame.
Jason Vilera took the loss for Brooklyn to fall to 0-4. The two teams play again tomorrow on Coney Island.
