CHL Mississippi RiverKings

Voting for all-time team begins this weekend

February 22, 2007 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Mississippi RiverKings News Release

SOUTHAVEN, MS --- Who are the greatest players in Memphis RiverKings history? What is the greatest moment in the team's 15 years? Beginning this weekend, fans will have the opportunity to answer those questions as voting will begin for the "RiverKings All-Time Team." Beginning Friday night when the RiverKings host the Youngstown Steelhounds at 7:05, ballots will be available at the RiverKings' Fan Services Booth on the DCC concourse just inside the west entrance. Voting will also be able to be accomplished by using the ballot below and emailing it to anniversary@riverkings.com.

Prior to this season, fans were asked to submit nominations for the All-Time Team ballot. Based on those nominations, 27 forwards, 18 defensemen and nine goalies received enough support to be placed on the ballot. Because the nomination process took place prior to or early in the season, the ballot does not include current players that are in their first season with the team. Write-in lines are included that can be used to vote for other players that are deemed worthy that do not appear on the ballot, whether from this season or any other year. The ballot also includes voting for the team's All-Time Coach and All-Time Greatest Moment. Fans will be asked to vote for three forwards, two defensemen, one goalie, one coach and one greatest moment.

The All-Time Team consisting of three forwards, two defensemen and one goalie will be announced during the final week of the regular season. An honorable mention second team will also be announced.
