Lindsey Miller, Miss Oklahoma 2006, will lend her royal qualities to start a huge weekend of rivalries and festivities for the Tulsa Oilers.
The Oilers host the Wichita Thunder Friday and the Oklahoma City Blazers Saturday. Both games start at 7:35 p.m. at the Tulsa Convention Center. Along with hosting their two longest standing and most heated rivals, the Oilers have a bevy of other activities going on, all weekend.
Friday night, fans are encouraged to wear pink in support of Susan G. Komen Foundation breast cancer awareness night. That night the Komen foundation will be auctioning poster size autographed pictures of Oiler players. It's also Chick-Fil-A night and the famous Chick-Fil-A cows will be on hand, helping hand out Chick-Fil-A giveaways at the doors. Also on Friday, Miller, the reigning Miss Oklahoma, will take part in a ceremonial face-off.
On Saturday, it's Pictures Plus Photos night with the Oilers. Fans will have the chance to get their picture taken with their favorite player, and then enjoying savings on the professional film development at Pictures Plus.
Also the Oilers "third" jerseys will be auctioned Saturday night. The alternate jersey auction will take place following the game with Oklahoma City. Tickets are available at the Carson Attraction box office located in the Tulsa Convention Center, all Drug Mart locations and by calling (918) 584-2000.
