(Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey - Vancouver, BC) Vancouver capitalized on a number of opportunities, and Salem-Keizer didn't do themselves any favours as the Canadians scored 10 runs over the first four frames en route to a convincing 10-2 victory.

Volcanoes pitchers hit a season-high five batters and walked six more as the Canadians did their part with eight hits in front of a raucous sold-out crowd at Nat Bailey Stadium.

RHP Miguel Castro didn't need his best stuff to pick up his second win but was solid nonetheless, allowing a single run on a first inning homer before settling in to go five innings with just three hits to go with seven strikeouts for a team leading 21.

2B Tim Locastro had a productive night at the plate, reaching base four out of five appearances, with two hits, a walk, and a hit-by-pitch, accounting for two runs and turning a key double play in the bottom of the third when the game still within reach.

Volcanoes starter LHP Nicholas Gonzalez failed to make it out of the first inning, recording just a single out and allowing four runs to score, taking the loss for the second time against Vancouver this season.

With the win, Vancouver moves to 11-7 on the season, bringing them three games of Spokane for the North Division lead. The five-game series with Salem-Keizer continues with a special Canada Day "˜Nooner at the Nat. First pitch scheduled for 1:05 PST.
