HIDALGO, Texas - Andrew Goudelock's 33 points and 12 assists led the Rio Grande Valley Vipers past the Los Angeles D-Fenders 134-119 tonight at State Farm Arena.

Additionally, Toure Murry and Chris Daniels scored 21 points each for the Vipers. D.J. Kennedy and Glen Rice, Jr. each added 16 points. Royce White tallied 10 points.

The D-Fenders were led by Lazar Howard and Mike Taylor with 22 points each. Morris Almond added 21 points. Courtney Fortson tallied 19 points, 13 assists, and Elijah Milsap added 10 points.

The Vipers took control of the first half. By the end of the first quarter, RGV was ahead 36-27. A dunk from Daniels, plus a shot from the line gave the Vipers their largest advantage of the first half, 16 points, 49-33 at the 7:41 mark in the second quarter. At the half, RGV was up 69-58.

RGV cruised through the third quarter. The Vipers outscored Los Angeles 36-25 points. A shot from behind the arc by Goudelock gave the Vipers the 105-83 advantage at the end of the third quarter.

The D-Fenders fought back early in the fourth quarter. In the first two minutes of play, Los Angeles went on a 12-1 run to get within 11 points, 106-95, of the Vipers. Rice, Jr. put the Vipers back on track with a jump shot to put RGV ahead 108-95. Hayward responded for L.A. with a three-pointer and Taylor followed up with a layup to help the D-Fenders close their gap to 108-100 with 8:35 left in the game. Kennedy responded with a three-point shot for the Vipers, and RGV never looked back. The Vipers claimed the game 134-119.
