
Vipers Take Down Memphis with Three Double-Doubles

Southaven, Miss. - The Rio Grande Valley Vipers (16-12), the NBA G League affiliate of the Houston Rockets, defeated the Memphis Hustle (20-7) 128-103 on Friday night at Landers Center.
RGV hit the ground running since the start of the game. Three Vipers players (Darius Days, Ray Spalding and Trhae Mitchell) hit a double-double. All starting five players scored in the double digits. The team was led by Houston Rockets Two-Way player Trevor Hudgins who scored 34 points. Jarrett Culver added 24 points. Houston Rockets Two-Way player, Days, finished with 22 points and 12 rebounds. Jalen Lecque scored 16 points from off the bench. Mitchell contributed 14 points and 14 rebounds. Spalding posted 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Hudgins also tied the franchise record for most three-pointers made during a game (10) which was previously set by former Vipers player Danuel House Jr. on Feb. 20, 2019.
Memphis was led by Darnell Cowart with 20 points followed by Damien Jefferson with 15 and Justin Bean with 14. Dakota Mathias and Romeo Weems finished the night with 13 points. Jacob Gilyard contributed 11 points.
